Professional Medical Removal

Unlike "home freezing kits" or non-medical aesthetic treatments, our removal process is precise and minimises the risk of scarring or recurrence. We treat a variety of benign conditions, including:

  • Skin Tags:
Small, flesh-colored growths that often appear in areas of friction, such as the neck, armpits, or groin.
  • Milia:
Small, hard white bumps that often form around the eyes and cheeks.
  • Seborrheic Keratoses:

Common non-cancerous skin growths that can appear waxy or scaly.
  • Cherry Angiomas:
Small, bright red spots caused by an overgrowth of blood vessels.
  • Benign Moles:
Removal of non-suspicious moles for cosmetic or comfort reasons.

The Procedure

The removal process is straightforward and typically takes less than 30 minutes. Depending on the size, type, and location of the lesion, Dr. Rahman will use one of the following medical techniques:

  • Cryotherapy:
Using liquid nitrogen to freeze the lesion, causing it to naturally fall off within a few days.

  • Curettage & Cautery:
A minor surgical technique used to “scrape” the lesion away and seal the area with heat to prevent bleeding and ensure clean healing.

  • Surgical Excision:
For larger or deeper lesions, a small surgical removal is performed under local anesthetic to ensure a comfortable and precise result.

Healing & Aftercare

Following removal, a small crust or scab will form over the area. This is a natural part of the healing process and typically clears within 7 to 10 days, leaving behind fresh, healthy skin.We provide full aftercare instructions to ensure the area heals smoothly with minimal marking.

The GP Advantage

The most critical step in lesion removal is the initial assessment. Before any procedure, Dr. Rahman performs a clinical examination to ensure the growth is benign. If there are any clinical concerns regarding the nature of a mole or lesion, as a GP, Dr. Rahman can provide the necessary medical advice or referral, ensuring your health is never compromised for a cosmetic result.
